How can I access my e-mail?

Once you are connected to the Internet, type the following address: http://webmail.uchsc.edu

• A Network Login window will appear.
• Type stargate\username
• Type your password
  The initial password is HscPIN! (the letters are case sensitive, replace PIN with your four-digit Personal Identification Number, end with an exclamation point)
  Use the original PIN assigned by the bursar's office, capitalize any letters in it.
• Press Enter and Microsoft Outlook will open. You should be looking at a list of messages in your Inbox

What are the settings for my e-mail software, Outlook, Outlook Express, etc.?

The student email servers do not have email software client service enabled. Check your email via the secure website: http://webmail.uchsc.edu.

Where is my personal file folder?

Personal folders are only available if you are using a personal installation of Outlook installed on your computer. This service is not enabled on student email servers.
