LoansomeDoc Users Need to Migrate to ILLiad ASAP

HSC Library customers currently using LoansomeDoc need to register with the library’s ILLiad system as soon as possible in order to continue their ILL service with us. HSC Library ILL will be turning off the LoansomeDoc service in March 2007.
Colorado residents not affiliated with the University who wish to continue using HSC Library as a supplier should move their accounts to ILLiad and cease using LoansomeDoc. If you already have an ILLiad account you should submit all your requests with ILLiad and not LoansomeDoc.
Once registered with ILLiad, you can link to PubMed from the HSC Library homepage. Linking to PubMed from the home page (http://hsclibrary.uchsc.edu/) will provide you with a green “ArticleLinker” button on each PubMed citation. ArticleLinker will take you to a page with an option to request the article through our Interlibrary Loan service using your ILLiad account. The PubMed citation will be imported and you can easily submit it with ILLiad.
To register with ILLiad, please go to http://uchsc.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/firsttime.html.
We realize that LoansomeDoc provides an option out of PubMed to export citation and order. However, if you come to the HSC Library homepage @ http://hsclibrary.uchsc.edu/ and link to PubMed from our website you will see a green ArticleLinker button on every PubMed citation.
If you click the Article Linker button from each PubMed citation you will get a linking page with options, one of which includes a link out to your ILL ILLiad account. That link will take you to the ILLiad login, and when you log into ILLiad your PubMed citation will be completely imported into the ILLiad article request form. Simply click Submit in ILLiad and you are done. It is similar to ordering with LoansomeDoc.
